The following terms and conditions will apply to any agreement for services between you and My DesignA Cake. By paying your deposit this means you agree with my terms & conditions.
Bookings & deposit
Dates and Bookings are only confirmed when a £50.00 non refundable deposit has been recieved. I can provisionally hold the date for one week with no deposit, after this time the date becomes available for other customers. Dates are secured once deposit is received.
Payment
Deposits are due immediately, and the final payment to be paid 1 week (1 month for wedding cakes) prior or on the day of collection, payment can be made by bank transfer or cash and a receipt will be given.
Order changes
Changes to your cake order e.g. size, description, and flavours will be accepted until 2 weeks prior to event date after that date we cannot accept any changes.
I reserve the right to make slight amendments to the design/flavour of the cakes without prior notice if I feel it is necessary and unavoidable.
Collections
A signature will be required upon collection confirming that you have received your order in good condition and as specified. Both parties will receive a copy of this form. A Collection date and time is to be agreed by My DesignA Cake. If you decided a collection date, a convenient 1-hour slot will be allocated. It is very important that you collect within the time given as other collections need to be timed throughout the day; it is the customer’s responsibility for advising me if they are unable to meet the agreed time for collection.
Once your order has been collected, all responsibility for the cakes is passed to you and My DesignA Cake cannot be held responsible for any damages in transit or dropped cakes.
Cake component parts
Depending on the design of your cake, on occasion it may be necessary to use non-edible supports or other items, but you will always be informed of this.
From time to time certain materials we use may become no longer available from our suppliers, this is totally outside of our control, however we will always try to find replacement items if needed.
ALLERGIES
Although every care will be taken in meeting your allergy needs I must inform you the My Studio Kitchen may contain traces of nuts, wheat, milk, gluten and other allergens as these are used regularly. An Allergy sheet will be given with your cake, but it is your responsibility to ensure all recipients are aware of this information, we cannot be held responsible for any allergic reactions to these ingredients.
Photos
I take photos of all my cakes, these are my images and I reserve the right to use these images on websites/social media sites without your consent.
Complaints
Complaints are rare so when they do occur I take them very seriously. Corrections/minor changes when things have gone wrong can usually be carried out on the same day (in most cases), and you are required to give me the opportunity to do this. You must notify me within 1 hour of collecting your cake.
The cake must have been stored properly in the correct temperature, out of the sun/heat and away from damp areas and in the box provided. Some complaints may need further investigation and an immediate refund may not always be possible. The WHOLE cake must be returned within 24 hours of collection. Photographs of the cake will NOT be accepted.
The maximum I will refund in extreme cases depending on the outcome of my assessment will be the cost of the cake. No further compensation will be offered.
REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN IF THE CAKE IS NOT RETURNED OR HAS BEEN DISPOSED OF.
All complaints must be received in writing within 24 hours of receipt of goods.

Revisions to these terms & conditions
I have the right to revise my terms and conditions at any time.

Please read the following data protection information with regards to how we hold/use the data you provide to” My DesignA cake”.
• We only hold the minimal personal data that you provide, which is needed to fulfil our contract to provide you with your chosen cake. (This will usually be your name and the contact details, eg email address, telephone no etc.)
• We do not run any digital marketing campaigns and your data is held solely in order for us to facilitate your order.
• By contacting us you confirm we may hold this minimal information.
• Any personal photos supplied by yourself, will be deleted once your order has been fulfilled.
• The law requires us to hold accounts for 6years before secure disposal, which includes invoicing containing your name, contact & order details.
• You have the right at any time to ask about your data and its use.
